Promoting Literacy
A Government priority for education is that every child achieves literacy levels that enable success.
Children's development of strong early foundations in literacy begins in the home and is grown and enriched through participation in high quality early childhood settings.
We have connected with our local library in Taita for a librarian to come in to read some stories with the children.
Throughout the year our Preschoolers will also make excursions to Taita Library.
This initiative engages our children in our wider community, and engages our wider community in the successful learning outcomes of our children.
