Te Whāriki informs our Programme Planning for teaching and learning. There are 4 Principles underlying Te Whāriki:

    • Whakamana - Empowerment

    • Kotahitanga - Holistic Development

    • Whānau Tangata - Family and Community

    • Ngā Hononga - Relationships

Weaving through the 4 Principles are the 5 Strands which frame and inform our teaching:

    • Mana Atua - Well-being

    • Mana Whenua - Belonging

    • Mana Tangata - Contribution

    • Mana Reo - Communication

    • Mana Aotūroa - Exploration

Your child's learning is documented in a Profile Book which you can take home. It is also available electronically through Educa.
